Since summer is already here, you’re probably looking for a perfect venue for your kids’ party, and what can be better than a pool party? Partify has done all the work for you. Here are 8 amazing kids’ pool party venues for all budgets, whether you’re throwing a fancy rooftop birthday party or just having something small and casual.
Affordable New York Kids’ Pool Party Options:
1. Aviator Sports and Events Center - Brooklyn
Aviator Sports and Events Center’s package is all-inclusive and less expensive than the other ones. You’ll have one lifeguard and two staff at your party, three hours of access to the pool, food, drinks, a birthday cake, decorations, and party experts who will take care of your party for you.
If the package itself is not enough, you can customize your party by requesting add-ons, such as cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, etc.
2. Aquatic Solutions - Lower East Side
Aquatic Solutions doesn’t have a wading pool or other kinds of equipment. However, their packages include EVERYTHING, such as private use of a pool, certified lifeguards, decorations, invites, a cake, and party favors. A party specialist will handle party management, and you can actually have fun at your own party instead of stressing about every detail.
With that being said, the price is a little higher than previous option. If you choose their deluxe packages for a longer party (2.5-3h), you’ll have everything from the regular packages plus take-home gifts for the children and a themed movie.
If that’s not enough, check out their add-ons for the packages as well. The coolest add-on, in my opinion, is the Aqua-Rainbow, which they turn the pool into a rainbow.
Please note that you have to reserve a date at least 7 days prior to your event.
3. 92nd Street Y - Upper East Side
92nd Street Y’s pool parties package includes a private section of a 25 yard swimming pool, and each party will have instructors and one lifeguard. The price is different for different ages (6-9 / 10-18) and number of children (12-30) at the party.
Or, you can choose their wading pool package for kids from age 3 to 6. The price for this one is slightly more expensive.
Above are the two rooms they have for hosting parties. You can reserve either room, and the host is allowed to set up the party 30 mins before it starts.
* You need to bring your own food, decorations, and other party supplies. Partify can take care of that for you. 92 Y also has some add-on options (cups, plates, goodie bags, etc) for the birthday party packages to make your planning process a little easier.
4. New York Sports Club
There are many NYSCs scattered around New York city, and the prices vary slightly according to the location you pick. Inviting up to fifteen guests (not including the birthday child), you’ll have pool toys, a private party room, tables and chairs, a 45-minute activity, invitations, 2 party coordinators, plates, napkins, set-up and cleanup. If you wish to add more time or invite more guests to your party, there are additional fees. Other possible add-ons for your package include a cotton-candy machine, popcorn machine, and a bounce house, but those options might not be available in some areas.
* It is important to keep in mind that NYSC’s package doesn’t include a lifeguard. You need to watch the kids yourself.
Fancy Rooftop Pool Party Option:
5. The William Vale - Brooklyn
Woohoo! It’s William Vale, baby, the longest outdoor hotel pool in Brooklyn and greater New York City. You don’t even have to be a guest to have access to the pool since William Vale offers day passes to the public. You can rent a cabana to throw a pool party. Children under sixteen years old need to be accompanied by an adult at all times, and there is a lifeguard daily from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.
* You cannot bring outside food to the hotel, but they serve delicious dishes at the pool.
6. Parker New York - Midtown West
The floor-to-ceiling windows of this pool will give the guests amazing views of Central Park, and there’s an outdoor sundeck for tanning. The best thing is that you don’t have to stay at the hotel to be able to enjoy all this. They have day passes for non-hotel guests and full menus of bites and drinks available at the pool.
Low-Cost Pool Party Options:
7. NYC Public Pools
Lasker Pool in Central Park
Van Cortlandt Pool in Van Cortlandt Park
Astoria Pool in Astoria Park
Lush greenery and beautiful landscapes around those pools are ideal if you want to throw a kids’ party among nature. Since you can’t bring floaties, glass bottles, food, newspaper or electronics to the pools, you need to set up the party away from them. If you’re hosting something small, those public pools can be the best option. Having a cookout in the parks after swimming will make a cozy afternoon.
* The opening hours are from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. daily, with a break for cleaning between 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can also try one of the indoor pools that are open year-round.
You can find the YMCA that is closest to you here and call them to ask if you can rent the pool for several hours. They have great facilities and lifeguards, which will be perfect for a casual kids’ pool party.
