Planning a kid’s birthday party can be overwhelming considering how much there is to coordinate. At Partify, we are here to make the planning process easier and to avoid common pitfalls that most parents often neglect. Keep reading to find out what’s on our checklist to not forget when planning your child’s party to make sure you don’t stress out at any point and the party is successful.
There’s no need to go crazy with your decorations. Simply blowing up a pack of balloons and throwing up some streamers a few hours before the party will do the trick. However, decorations are crucial, even if they are simple, as they visually demonstrate your party and make your child feel special! Color coordinating your decorations so everything matches or follows a theme is an excellent way to set up the party.
Always make sure there is extra tableware. You don’t want to run out of plates before you get to the cake, and people tend to throw away their cups and plates every time they reach for something new. You could deter this by choosing not to use paper plates and plastic silverware, but that does mean a longer clean-up afterwards.
Food & Drinks
Make sure you have a list of your guests’ dietary restrictions beforehand. You never want someone to be hungry at your party because they can’t eat what you’re serving. Also, don’t forget the ice. No one wants lukewarm drinks.
Candles & Matches
It may seem small, but make sure you have candles and matches ready for the cake (and bring a few extra just in case). You don’t want your little one to have nothing to blow out! For some extra fun, feel free to use colored flame candles, or play a little trick on the birthday girl or boy by using magic relighting candles or a blooming flower candle.
